laser good? no It does not need a buff, this coming from a guy who uses them regularly. It is effective at doing it's job, if you can't do good with it don't necessarily blame the gun . . . |

With the very powerful viziam in the last build, I liked to build it up on a wall directly in front of me, then move sideways so that it's suddenly hitting someone with high damage, giving them almost no time to seek cover before they'd melt. Is that still possible this build, if you have the viziam and appropriate skills? I suppose Amarr assault suit is desirable. That is still exactly how you are supposed to use it! I have a feeling people who complain it is weak are not using this tactic. Waste all initial low damage outputs on the environment, then dish out the high damage on the enemies. |

I am not sure if the heat buildup on a suit with no heat bonuses will be too high to make it worth it. Compared with other guns such as a scrambler rifle, or a TAR. Well considering that with the Amarr Assault skill at level 5 you can fire the laser rifle 25% longer, it is a HUGE bonus. That said, you can still do well with it in other suits, heck I run a standard laser rifle in my Commando suit and kill just fine. But if you want to be really feared with it, the Amarr Assault is a must.
As a sidenote, I really want to get into vehicles but with my preference for Amarrian tech I just haven't been able to I don't care if the dropships aren't fixed yet, I want to fly the Amarrian one even if it will just crash into the ground |
